Melia Valencia

We had a brilliant birthday weekend here and were blown away by the hotel and its staff. Javier checked us in, and we couldn't have asked for someone nicer, happier or more helpful. Rooms 1317 & 1319 had everything we needed, lots of space and amazing views. Breakfast was excellent, and the on-site bars and cocktail bars had a great drinks selection and a lovely atmosphere. We'd book again and will stay here next time we're in Valencia.

The service left us confused and disappointed in a few ways. We booked a Supreme room as a treat after a long drive. It cost more than the “The Level” Supreme room, but we weren't allowed to use any Level benefits, which seemed odd. Breakfast was fine, though not what we'd expect from a hotel in this category. Our rooms were very clean and nice, with a few small signs of wear, and the hotel seemed well looked after. The lobby was especially nice, and there was a pleasant view from up high. Parking was another issue. We had a tall car with a roof box and couldn't get an answer from staff or a reply to our advance email about whether it would fit in the paid garage. We only learned on arrival that the maximum height is 2.15 m, after spending a while looking for alternatives we didn't actually need.

The Level team were welcoming, professional and fun to talk with, and access to their lounge was a real plus. I'd happily stay again on my next Valencia trip. The junior suite felt more like a proper suite, with great views, two restrooms, a very comfortable sofa bed and clean spaces. There was even free street parking right outside. It's not in the tourist center, but the location is handy, steps from a large stadium and close enough to a huge central park for a jog.

After a long day of meetings and site visits in Valencia, I stopped at the Meliá bar hoping for a perfect margarita. Alberto made exactly that, beautifully balanced and expertly prepared. He was warm, welcoming and genuinely kind, and gave me a calm, hospitable moment at the end of a tiring day. I've worked as an event planner for over two decades, and I know how much those small moments matter. Alberto is a real asset to the Meliá team. I'll definitely come back because of him.
