Purple Nest Hostel

There’s a decent lobby to sit in while people wait to check in, and the WiFi generally works well. At night it’s fairly quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful, the location feels safe, there are enough showers, and it’s generally clean. I also liked the secure luggage room: they lock it and give you a tag to check you’ve got the right bag, which some hostels don’t do. The bunk beds are packed close together, leaving hardly any room to reach the lockers underneath without shifting things around and making noise. Those metal lockers squeak badly, as do the doors, so people in rooms nearby hear them opening and closing. The bed curtains shown in the photos don’t cover much, just one side, while up to two other sides remain exposed, sometimes right by the door. Bathrooms were usually well kept, though they occasionally ran out of toilet paper.

Getting around was easy from Purple Nest: it’s near the old city and Turia park, with direct transport to the beaches, Oceanografic, train station, and airport. Consum is a five-minute walk away. Our double room had its own bathroom and was clean and spacious. The hostel itself is modern, fresh, and comfortable, with new furniture, good amenities, and fun activities. The young staff were great, and everything was organized well from check-in to check-out. There’s a well-equipped kitchen, laundry room, and a tucked-away garden on the first floor. We enjoyed our stay at Purple nest hostel, and I’d recommend it to everyone.

I travel solo, so it was a real plus to meet some great people during my four days at Purple Nest. My mixed dorm was lovely, with a balcony view and room for my belongings, and the hostel was clean throughout, especially the bathrooms. Service was fantastic from check-in through check-out. Alejandro, Lydia Sebas, and a few others were friendly and helpful. It’s central, good value, and I’d definitely stay again. Thanks, and I highly recommend checking it out if you’re going to Valencia. 🤟

The walls are thin, so every sound from the corridor comes through. We were woken at 4:30 in the morning by a girl crying and howling, and it felt like the people there didn’t care about each other. Apart from that, the hostel is well located and good value. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff are nice.
