Som Hostel Boutique

Som' hostal was a real pleasure to stay at. The rooms were fresh and clean, and the kitchen was spotless and well equipped. I especially liked the beds: each has a curtain for privacy, plus its own light and phone charger plug. There's a lovely patio for socializing, and nearby supermarkets, hairdressers, pubs, and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the other guests were too if you're willing to make the first move. I can highly recommend Som's hostal 😃 o

The dorms and showers all felt fresh and well looked after. Staff were helpful, and the location is hard to beat, right beside Calatrava's Ciudad del las Artes, a futuristic spot to relax or cycle around. A great place for a laid-back stay in Valencia! 😊

The hotel was clean and comfortable to stay in 👍. Karim, the Egyptian guy there, was friendly, patient, and very responsible. He worked carefully and put people at ease.

The patio is lovely on a sunny day, and that's the best thing about this hostel. It's central, with a park and the old town nearby. There's a kitchenette, somewhere to sit and work, and good internet. The staff are friendly, but they weren't very helpful when we had a problem with the lock. This isn't a boutique hostel. I stayed in a mixed room where the door lock didn't work, so we had to sleep with the door open. As a woman, I didn't feel completely safe. The room's bathroom had two separate showers and a WC, but there wasn't a single hook inside the shower for clothes, a towel, or a shampoo bag. Staff should get movable hooks. How am I supposed to shower in a mixed room if I can't hang up my clothes? It's really inconvenient. I wouldn't recommend staying more than a few days if comfort matters to you.
