Valencia City Host

We’re really happy with our stay for two. The room was spacious and nice, and Franz, a very friendly employee, gave us good tips on where to go in Valencia. Great service.

Everything was very clean, the internet worked fine, and both bathrooms were always available. It was hot, so I had to keep the window shut because of a smell from the building's inner area, though I don't know what that space is called. I wish the other guests would close their doors quietly for people who are sleeping. There’s a valencibike rental spot nearby.

The owner was quick to reply and tried to fix the problems we had, which is why I gave three stars. Still, keep a few things in mind before booking. On Sundays, shops in Spain are closed, including this hostel’s reception, and you may not find anyone around to ask for help. We got the key because the owner sent us a password for the locker, but another family was left outside without any information, which must be frustrating. The accommodation isn’t next to reception, either. You have to walk to 47 Cuenca street, 5th floor. Our room was okay, but water leaked from the AC and they couldn't fix it. There were just two bathrooms, one of them very small, and the room had a poor view. We only stayed in the apartment at night and managed, but it’s a budget option that needs some improvement.

The room was large and clean, but the person at reception wasn’t friendly. We booked two bikes with him for the next day, and he never mentioned that the office only opened at 3 pm. We also arranged to leave our bags for an extra €3 per piece, but the office was closed for that too. They offer services they can’t actually provide.
