MYR Puerta Serranos

After staying in five hotels around Spain since October 2024, I found Hotel Puerta Serranos to be the best value by a long way. I was there from November 29 to December 5, and I’d happily return. The room was roomier than it looked online, with a great bed, a modern-feeling bathroom, and a smart TV that made signing into streaming accounts easy. The digital panel for the temperature and fan was also excellent. I’m a light sleeper and had asked for a quiet room ahead of time. They put me on the top floor, facing the inner courtyard, so I heard no street noise. Even my last-minute request, made 40 minutes before checkout, to stay until 2 p.m. instead of noon was sorted within minutes and with a smile. The staff made the stay. Reception, breakfast, and housekeeping were consistently warm, professional, and helpful, with the reception team especially good at handling whatever I needed. I’m learning Spanish, and people were patient about speaking it with me and helping me practice, even when they were busy. I skipped breakfast at first because I like exploring in the mornings, but tried it on my third-to-last day and was glad I did. You order from a good menu rather than taking food from a standard buffet. For 19 euros I had Greek yogurt with chia and blueberries, toast with Spanish ham, avocado and a poached egg, scrambled eggs with salmon and avocado, fresh orange juice, and an espresso. I could have ordered more, too. The hotel is right in the old city, with Turia Park across the road for walks or runs. Major sights, cafes, restaurants, and other things you might need are a short walk away. I couldn’t be happier with the comfort, service, and location, and recommend it to anyone visiting Valencia.
