Masia de Matuta

The dinner, dessert, and breakfast were all freshly prepared, delicious, and better than I expected. The hosts said the ingredients were sourced locally and prepared that day. They went out of their way to make sure we felt looked after, and greeted us by showing us around their beautiful, dream-like home. We were one of four couples staying there, and everyone was friendly. It’s a huge, peaceful property, really isolated, but the directions got us straight there and parking was easy with plenty of spaces. Our double bed was comfortable, and I slept so peacefully. There’s a nice trail down to the dam where you can see their friendly horses, and I loved the hammock area. A perfect weekend to de-stress. If peace and quiet are what you’re after, this is an amazing place. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, and make their guests a priority. We’d happily recommend it for a relaxing getaway or weekend break, and will definitely come back.

We especially liked the meals Bas made with home-grown ingredients, and the sunset in the distance was a lovely backdrop. The pool was another favorite, a great spot to enjoy the sun and peaceful surroundings. Our two nights at Masia de Matuta were a relaxing treat. The property is beautiful and serene, and Sara and Bas made sure every detail was taken care of from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality made the stay feel fantastic, with excellent amenities and delicious food. We’d love to return.

Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely done in a French rustic style. The masía has been beautifully restored, keeping its traditional character while still providing modern comforts. We also enjoyed the pool and outdoor seating, where we spent the afternoon and evening taking in the mountain view and sunset. Bas and Sara were warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the breakfast they served was delicious. We wished we could have stayed longer. Masía de Matuta is a lovely countryside escape for a few peaceful nights. Highly recommended.

We booked the Master Suite and would recommend it, with its panoramic view and the feeling of sleeping under the stars. Masía de Matuta is a lovely place to unwind and enjoy nature, and Sara and Bas are wonderful hosts who make the stay feel special. We were lucky Bas made dinner for us, though there's also a guest kitchen available.
