After the way I was treated, I decided not to stay there. They contacted me through Booking customer service, then marked me as a no-show, with no refund and no way for me to complain. I never even reached the property. I’d called to ask whether I could drop off my luggage before check-in. Nobody answered at first, then they called back and spoke to me very rudely in Spanish even after I said I didn’t understand. They kept sending messages afterward, which I’ll attach screenshots of. Don’t be tempted by the low price. It isn’t worth it.

We had a reservation at ThePlacetoBe B&B in Valladolid, but the owner, Mentxu, wouldn’t let us stay. He spoke Spanish when we arrived, slammed the door in our faces, and refused to communicate. A Spanish friend of ours who lives nearby called him too, and he was rude and insulting to them. This is discriminatory behavior and a breach of contract. Definitely avoid this place.

The rooms are gorgeous, the bathrooms immaculate, and the host was welcoming. The location is excellent, too. Saturdays can get noisy at night from people partying in the street. And yes, you have to follow the rules. I’d recommend it for tidy, mature couples who can clean up after themselves like grown-ups.

Our room had no windows, and there was nothing about that in the listing. The host was rude and didn’t care at all about our concerns. Be careful. It was a terrible experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
