Reaching this hotel meant walking about 30 minutes farther from Ponte Ulla, but I was glad I made the extra trek. The room was small, yet clean and very comfortable, and it even had a bidet in the bathroom! The restaurant was good and affordable, too. A handy stop before finishing the Camino.

The waiter made us feel like being there was a burden. He dropped cutlery onto our plates, slammed glasses and menus on the table, forgot parts of our order, then insisted we hadn't ordered them. The prawns had an unpleasant fuzzy texture, as though they'd gone straight from the freezer into the pan. We asked for medium rare, but the meat came out overcooked and extremely chewy. One meat dish tasted of dishwasher soap, perhaps because the plate hadn't dried properly, and it spoiled the meal. Miserable service. If you value yourself as a person, don't go here.

We felt warmly welcomed as pilgrims, and the place is very close to the Camino. It doesn't seem to be advertised much along the route, perhaps because pilgrims aren't its main audience, but locals in the previous village pointed us here. The food was delicious, the rooms updated and modern, and everything was well designed, including a perfect shower. Breakfast was great, too. Excellent value for money.

The owner and staff were attentive, helpful, and very friendly. Our room was smartly designed, spotless, and had a comfortable bed. It stayed quiet during our visit, even though it was above the restaurant.
