We had a lovely time and will definitely come back. Mrs. Ana was very kind to us, and the garden and barbecue area were our favorite parts. Greetings from the guys in Tenerife.

We never got to enjoy the stay because we were refused entry, even though we were charged. The owner blocked access after a disagreement and wanted payment directly to her at a higher price instead of through Booking.com. We wouldn't agree, and things went wrong from there. For two days we tried to get a refund, but neither she nor Booking.com let us stay overnight or resolved it, so we had no choice but to complain to the Civil Guard, the Tourism Board and the Consumer Protection Agency. Today we'll also file with the Rural Tourism Association of the Canary Islands. The guests were traveling from Fuerteventura with their car, dog and luggage. They waited all day on the 2nd for the issue to be sorted, then had to go back to the island with everything, feeling completely scammed. The owner's conduct through all this has been lies, slander and defamation, in our view, to avoid refunding us. Booking.com has a long history, but in situations like this it seems not to defend the paying customer when owners lie. We won't say more because all the allegations are documented in the complaints. The location is listed as Vega de San Mateo, but it's actually the pretty town of Utiaca, with terrible access. And the listing calls it a house, when it's a two-story building rented as either an upper or lower floor. The whole thing is a complete mess. We've chatted and spoken to Booking.com agents in other countries who can't make changes, mediate or offer another solution. We're waiting for someone responsible there to contact us, and for the summons after the complaints. It looks like we may have to go to court.

The strong damp smell hit as soon as I arrived, and I was very disappointed. The house was dirty, the facilities neglected, and there was no view. Heating was just an old portable radiator. I really don't recommend this place.

The peaceful setting and the nature were lovely, and it's worth a visit. It's a shame the barbecue spots and chicken coop are neglected, because they could be amazing.
