The dining room and comfortable lounge with couches are downstairs. Mari Carmen and her lovely family took such good care of us, and we had a restful stay in this special Albergue. It was very clean, with a large, spotless heated bathroom. Our room had three bunk beds, a balcony of our own, clean sheets and pillowcases, and lockers. Dinner was a wonderful home-cooked meal, and breakfast was a delicious buffet with homemade cake. Thanks for looking after us two pilgrims! :)

The Hostel is immaculate, with private rooms, some with their own bathrooms. Maria Carmen can also cook a beautiful meal for an extra charge. What really makes the place is Maria Carmen herself, an absolute gem and the most amazing host in a beautiful home. When my wife became ill, she drove us to the ER in Ponferrada at 7:30 am, then came back later to check on her. She’s a genuine saint and deserves lots of business.

Very clean, but the room felt overpriced for an albergue, with no amenities or real service. The lady was kind, but all she did was take the payment. She wasn’t around the next morning and told us to leave the key in a box.
