La Casa del Califa

This was our second visit to Casa del Califa, this time with our adult children, who loved its warm Moroccan feel. The rooms are beautiful and each has its own character. We ate wonderfully from the restaurant’s Mediterranean and Moroccan menu, and the included breakfasts were the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had in Spain. We also tried the hammam and can’t recommend it enough. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and Toñi was especially helpful. It’s the most unique boutique hotel we’ve had the pleasure of staying in in Spain.

We loved exploring all the rooms in this charming hotel, and the village and countryside views were beautiful. At night the rooftop bar was a lovely spot to relax. The restaurant served some of the best food we had on our trip, and I had the most relaxing, lovely massage I’ve ever had after booking one through the hotel. Our room was cozy and clean, and the AC worked fantastically. Right on the village’s central square, it made exploring on foot easy. There are several guest parking spaces in a garage if you ask ahead.

For the price, this hotel was amazing. The rooms were a good size, the beds comfy, and the views over the plaza were great. Restaurant and breakfast, included, were both good.

A quirky, historic place right on the main square, with friendly staff. It’s bicycle friendly too, and we loved staying here.
