The on-site restaurant served an excellent three-course meal for 27 Euro plus tax, and breakfast was an excellent continental spread. Parking was easy and on site, and the staff took good care of us. Their English is limited, but they were patient with our broken Spanish. The place was clean and comfortable, and we found it very relaxing. There’s a nearby bell that chimes every 15 minutes through the night, though we barely noticed it.

This is a charming, old-fashioned hotel with friendly staff and an excellent restaurant. It’s in the Basque Country in Spain, just over the border from France, and handy for San Sebastian, which is only a short drive away. A lovely place to stay.

We’d planned on three nights, but loved it so much that we extended our stay to five. The hotel is an old, characterful place with plenty of history and private gardens scented with jasmine. Its tasteful decor mixes antique and modern furniture really well. Maite, Reyes, Karina, and Aiore took such good care of us. The staff were professional, very friendly, and always attentive to our comfort and welfare. The chef’s excellent food kept us eating at the hotel every day, and the cleaning lady worked hard behind the scenes. I’d highly recommend staying here when travelling in this beautiful region.

This little hotel is right in the middle of a small town, far from just about everything. There’s a supermarket a few blocks away, and that’s about it, no nightlife or restaurants. I LOVED IT. It’s perfect for a getaway or a break from city noise and pollution. The staff were as friendly as they come, really kind and talkative. The rooms are HUGE but old. Keep in mind it’s a restored antique Manor, so there are old wooden floors throughout. Breakfast is as good as a Spanish breakfast should be, and the price is excellent for what they offer. I’ll come back!
