The food was delicious, and the whole stay in Sarrià was memorable. From arrival through checkout, the staff treated us with so much tact and personal attention. They clearly cared about our well-being, and no request was too small. They kept going out of their way to find solutions and made us feel right at home. Alliet & Marie-Claire were superb and made Primero Primera feel like home. There were so many beautiful details and cozy corners to settle in with a book or a drink, yet the place still felt humble. It was a real retreat from the touristy parts of town, with metro and taxis close at hand. We've traveled a ton, and this is one of the best hotels we've stayed in. Everything felt exquisite. We loved the guest lounge that recently opened on the first floor. The historic architecture there is unbelievable, and it's such a lovely, quiet place to relax. The rooms are spacious, especially for a European city. The restaurant is excellent and clearly popular with neighborhood locals. Our server even remembered us from our visit 1.5 years ago, and the staff made us feel like family. The hotel is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood outside the busy center, so it was easy to enjoy a more authentic side of Barcelona while still reaching the main sights. The staff are warm and accommodating, especially with children. They had what we needed for our son, including a baby bath and crib, and even gave him crayons and a coloring book to help him feel at home. We've stayed at Primero Primera twice, in 2023 and again at Christmas 2025, and it has kept its high standards both times. It's now our go-to hotel in Barcelona, and we can't wait to return.

The hotel restaurant's tapas were great, and one of our best meals in Barcelona. We also loved our spacious, thoughtfully decorated room, especially the balcony. It's in a safe, quiet neighborhood, though not close to the tourist attractions. One odd thing: an older North American couple tried to take the Uber I'd called. Keep an eye out, because if someone else gets into your ride, you might be waiting a while.
