Hotel Atlantis

I loved my stay and will definitely come back. It’s convenient for getting around, and the room was spacious. Breakfast was great, with sharp knives that actually cut, unlike the useless ones you often get. The people here were the nicest of any hotel I’ve stayed in, from reception to housekeeping and breakfast. I asked for “do not disturb” because I keep my room clean and don’t need it serviced. On the third day, I found a big bag of towels, shower gel, shampoo, lotion, and toilet paper outside my door. That was so thoughtful, and it’s never happened to me before, even at the many five-star hotels I’ve stayed in. The double-glazed windows kept out street noise, and the blackout curtains were great. The bidet worked well, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. When I couldn’t find the AC remote, reception came up to help me look. I also asked for extra towels, and he brought two more in under 10 minutes. I really loved everything about this hotel.

Breakfast was great, and we found a couple of lovely, quiet places to eat it, with tablecloths too. Our room was peaceful and roomy, with a comfortable armchair and a desk. Toiletries and the coffee and tea supplies were replenished daily, along with the towels. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is ideally placed for the historic area and Gaudi sites, and I’d definitely stay here again.

The street outside is quite busy and ugly, which was our only real issue, though the hotel can’t do much about it. We got a very good price, and for what we paid, the value was great. It’s an old place, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate, if nothing spectacular. After checking out, we realized we’d left important medication in the room fridge. The cleaning staff found it and had it ready for us when we returned for our bags. That was a real relief.

We had a really nice time here, especially at breakfast. The food was delicious and there was a big range of options. Staff were nice, and the room was clean with everything we needed, including a kettle. The location was very good, close to the metro, La Rambla, and most of the iconic sights. They even let us leave our bags before check-in began, which was great.
