Getting around was mixed: Balaídos stadium is an eight-minute walk, but the city center is about 2 km away, roughly 30 minutes on foot. Street parking was hard to find for check-in, so I pulled over briefly and then drove to the garage across from the hotel. The afternoon receptionist was lovely and walked me to my room, then outside to point out the garage. My room was clean and nice for the one night I stayed. There is an elevator, but it starts on the first floor, so you have to carry your luggage up to it. In the morning, I asked the older man on duty for hot water to make coffee. He refused, even though the water heater was right next to him.

I got some much-needed rest here, and the staff did a lot to make the stay enjoyable. They were amazingly kind and helpful. The hotel feels vintage because it’s older, but it isn’t worn out, and the rooms had everything I needed. It’s secure too, with key access at the entrance and for the rooms, plus someone at reception checking that people coming in should be there. For the price, it’s easily the best hotel. The train stations are a bit of a walk, though still under an hour on foot.

A simple city hotel that’s worth it for a night or two. It has what you need, and the free parking was a real plus since parking in Vigo is hard to find.

It’s quite worn, though things mostly worked, and for the money it was worth it. You’re a little away from the tourist center, which made it a chance to try local places. There’s lots of traffic around and a real big-city feel.

Really good for the price. The small room had a TV and bathroom, everything was clean, and the people at reception were really kind.
