La casa verde

The family running the place were incredibly kind and did all they could to help with our wishes. The house sits by a road with gorgeous mountain views, so mornings are something else. I spent most of my time hiking nearby, and one night went to Logroño for some amazing Spanish food. It's a great fit if you're into hiking, good wine, and getting a taste of rural Spain. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to anyone.

Pilar really went out of her way for us. My daughter has an allergy, so she baked gluten-free muffins and made sure we had the best stay we'd had in a long time. We arrived in heavy rain, and she met us with umbrellas and welcomed us into a warm home. It felt like being treated as family, not guests. The place is cozy and lovely, and our two girls enjoyed the little garden and the pets. This is no typical hotel, the hospitality was better than anywhere else we stayed on our trip through beautiful Rioja. We'll remember them, recommend them to friends, and come back soon. Andres and Pillar, thank you for such a lovely stay. The traditional atmosphere was fantastic, and the accommodation was comfortable, homely, and up to a very high standard. Your welcome and hospitality were second to none. The free breakfast each morning was wonderful, and you both went above and beyond. We can't wait to return. It's a beautiful place, and I'd recommend it to anyone, young or old, travelling alone or as a couple.

The mountain views are amazing, and you can reach the hiking trails and river right from the house without driving. It's also only a 15-minute drive to Logrono for some great local tapas. The hosts were extremely friendly, and the rooms were clean and had everything we needed. We had an amazing time at La Casa Verde, would definitely recommend it, and would love to come back!
