Hotel El Tejar & Spa

The breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty of fresh, homemade food: fruit, vegetables, granola, yogurt, several cheeses and cured meats, bacon and eggs, plus coffee and tea choices. I especially liked the homemade omelette with tomatoes and potatoes. We also had a wonderful dinner of local dishes. Hotel & Spa El Tejar has a great mountain setting, with lovely views and a calm atmosphere for relaxing, exploring Tenerife, or hiking. Its colonial architecture gives it a nice vibe. The staff were amazing and very friendly, our room was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. There’s a cozy reception area with soft sofas where you can have tea, chat, or work quietly. The pool area is nice, and although we didn’t use the spa, it looked great. A comfortable way to experience local life. We’ll definitely return on our next visit to the island.

The garden feels like a little green oasis at the foot of Mount Teide, peaceful and full of charm. The whole place is quiet and restful, and the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with a nice mix of sweet and savory choices, though it wasn’t a huge spread. The hotel has recently changed owners, and the new management is incredibly caring and makes sure guests have a good stay.

Breakfast had a great mix of local and international choices, and the pool was immaculate, a lovely spot to unwind. The rooms at Hotel y Spa El Tejar were spacious, spotless, and decorated with traditional Canarian touches. We also loved the relaxing spa and its professional service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, doing a lot to make our visit memorable. It’s peaceful and surrounded by beautiful landscapes, while still being convenient for exploring the area. We felt relaxed and rejuvenated the whole time. A wonderful Tenerife stay, and we can’t wait to return!

We slept perfectly in this quiet part of Vilaflor, with no car noise. The owner was lovely and helpful, and looked after us so well. The restaurant served excellent food at both dinner and breakfast. The hotel has been freshly refurbished; its simple, cozy rooms have basic furniture but are very well maintained. We’ll definitely return. I’d say it deserves a star more. 100% recommend.
