The place was quiet, and getting into the city and town center was easy. We had lots of room for the three of us, and the terrace made it so nice to sit and unwind. There was a supermarket within walking distance where we picked up breakfast and ate it back on the terrace. Parking could be tricky at times. If you’ll arrive after 18:00, make sure to arrange that ahead of time.

I stopped by several times during our stay in Vilafranca del Penedes. The traditional Catalan and Spanish dishes were excellent, and the lunch menu had good options for the price. I stayed elsewhere, so I didn’t need a room at the pension.

Villafranca is beautiful, and I really liked where the place was. The room was simple, but it had what we needed. It was clean and fresh-smelling, with a comfortable bed, and a good price for the money.

The restaurant seemed to draw plenty of people, but there was almost nothing for vegans or vegetarians. Maybe the proprietor was just having an off day, though they came across as less than friendly. The place itself was clean and presentable, if basic.

I liked the pig cheeks in particular. The menu of the day was very good value at €13.90, and there was free street parking right outside.
