We were there in the third week of June, and it was very quiet. The pitches are a good size, easily big enough for a 7m motorhome and a tent. The restaurant's food is simple but tasty. We had pork escalope and veal steak with French fries and a vegetable garnish, both were fine.

The cabins are cozy and well located for families. We stayed in one of the larger log cabins, with a family of 2+3 and a couple with a toddler. There’s no AC, though that usually isn’t an issue. The kitchen is well equipped and there’s great heat. It’s a peaceful place to rest away from town or city life, but it isn’t luxury. Staff were kind and helpful, and the kids had a playground and ping pong table. Lots of hiking trails are 15-20 min away, while the large Val De Boi park is 60 min away. Small towns and supermarkets are 10-15 min away.

We stayed at Prado Verde for 4 days with my husband. It was overpriced and close to the road. The area, Vall D'Aran, is beautiful and green, with a lovely river, and the pool was clean and deep. Do check the weather forecast before going, though. We arrived Sunday to heavy rain all day and night, and Monday was much the same. In weather like that, you’re trapped. The highway noise was constant. Riverside construction meant our bungalow balcony looked out onto trucks and building work. The staff smoked a lot, and something toxic. Even though we booked a non-smoking bungalow, it smelled as if someone had smoked in it before. There was also a constant sewage problem, so both the kitchen sink and bathroom stank, and the bedroom was very dusty. Viella, with its shops and restaurants, is within a 15 min drive. Bossost is smaller, about 7 min away, and has what you need too.

The spot has some nice birding by the river, including Dippers and Grey Wagtails, and the road Vielha-France is scenic. The fast river along one side makes a pleasant whisper, but traffic on the other side is noisy. The grass makes pitching a tent easy, though mornings are humid enough to leave the tent soaked. It’s a small campsite. The toilets have no hot water, which is only available in the shower and dishwashing building a few yards away. There are no tables, chairs, or indoor places to eat your own food, though there’s a nearby bar run by the same family. Camping cost 5.6 € per person/car/tent, the dearest we’d encountered in the Spanish interior. The pretty wooden cabins were even more, around 60 €/night, and we were told they could only be rented for at least two nights. Location is a plus, but the price, noise, and lack of eating facilities are downsides.

The setting was really nice, with mountains all around our tent. The showers were cold, though, and the site wasn’t maintained, with long grass and only one working tap. There are lots of other places in the area with better amenities.
