Hotel Orquidea Real

The one real plus was the very central location. We found parking nearby, even at the end of August. The room was quiet, mostly because there were hardly any other guests, but it was a standard room and the hotel was expensive for what we got. I asked carefully about the amenities and was told everything was included, yet we didn't receive the service we expected. We won't return. We stayed five nights with breakfast, and it was the same every day. The cake was fresh on the first morning, then became rock hard after a few days. They could at least have offered two pastries one day and changed them the next. Breakfast was very poor. Our room was on the second floor, where the Wi-Fi didn't reach. They only had a home Wi-Fi network, though it worked at reception. The safe was broken, a serious problem for us because we leave things there that we don't carry around. On arrival, the shower was full of water and we had to ask for soap. Rooms should be checked to make sure everything is in working order before assigning them. We also asked for a pillow and the one we got was completely torn. It's a multi-star hotel, but we've stayed in others with the same rating that felt more like five-star. The man who served us was very nice.

Breakfast was a real disappointment. They weren't ready for guests, and once three tables arrived, everything became chaotic. The table wasn't replenished in time, we had to ask three times, and by the time the bread came our coffee had gone cold. A real shame. The beds were also terribly uncomfortable.

The owner was very helpful and answered all our questions. We stayed to see the sights of Laciana, and the hotel felt so welcoming that we'll definitely return. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Right in the centre of Villablino, with a clean, spacious room and perfect service. The receptionist was very friendly too. What more could you ask for?
