There’s plenty of lovely nature around, plus lots of cultural things to do and see. It’s a charming, beautiful place to stay, and I’d happily come back.

So peaceful around here, and I really loved the atmosphere in the house. It’s also a great spot for eating out and visiting places. 100% recommendable!

My family and I stayed in the main house for 10 days, and I’m already eager to return. Here are my thoughts on the points people mention most often. The river beach was a real highlight. It’s a completely natural, peaceful spot that felt private since we swam there almost every day without seeing anyone. Lovely for cooling off and spending time together. For a huge house out in the countryside, the dusting wasn’t spotless, which is understandable, but the sheets, towels, kitchen things, dishes, and shared spaces were all in perfect condition. Since we stayed so long, the owner offered to change linens and towels as often as we wanted and clean whenever we needed. We took them up on it, and it was all great. The washing machine and clothesline worked perfectly too. We didn’t need to buy any supplies. There were napkins, dish soap tablets, detergent and softener, shower gel and shampoo, hand soap, kitchen towels, and scouring pads. When the soap ran out in one bathroom, we mentioned it and they brought us a new one, which we used for the first time. The router worked perfectly. There are bugs in the countryside, as you’d expect. Inside, we saw a few flies and wasps coming in through the open windows in summer, and one little spider. We had no complaints about the owner, who was more than friendly and professional. There are lots of board games and books, a Thermomix that’s old but works, dishes for a big group, and an outdoor barbecue area. If I had to pick a downside, one living room sofa is a bit worn and could do with replacing, though it did the job perfectly well.

A lovely property for a group getaway, with incredible hiking trails starting right at the house. There are routes for every level.
