At night, the dark sky filled with stars was the perfect finishing touch. Fermin and Juanjo were delightful hosts at this highly recommended casa rural, tucked among the hills of northern Extremadura. Sierra de Gata's wild scenery is breathtaking, and this corner of Spain feels like a hidden gem.

We came to Hotel El Sosiego at the end of July hoping for some quiet, and that's exactly what we got. The hotel feels peaceful as soon as you arrive, surrounded by beautiful nature in the Sierra de Gata mountains. It's a lovely place for couples to take their time, unwind, and disconnect. There isn't a party atmosphere here, so I wouldn't recommend it as much to families with children or groups of friends looking for that. A great spot to rest and recharge.

We've stayed at Sosiego twice now, and we're sure to come back. It's just right for unwinding, with wonderful hosts who look after your needs so thoughtfully and cheerfully. Both breakfast and dinner are homemade and superb.

A fantastic place surrounded by pure nature, perfect for getting away from it all. The owners were always attentive and the service was incredible. We had a wonderful stay, definitely a 10/10.
