Apartamentos Rurales Les Mestes

Carmina was so nice and attentive. The place is clean, rustic and nicely decorated, with everything we needed for a few days. We’ll come back.

Covi and her mother were so welcoming, and you can tell the apartments have been decorated with a lot of care. I felt completely at home and loved staying there for those few days. They’re spotless, full of little magical touches, and there’s a small, tidy garden behind the apartments with a waterfall whose sound I could have listened to for hours. I booked because I wanted to visit Tazones, but wasn’t sure how far away it was. The reviews mentioned a path, and sure enough there’s a lovely forest trail to the village, about an eight-minute walk from the apartments. Although they’re beside the road, there’s no traffic at night, so all you hear is silence. Across the road there’s a picnic area. Get the Asturian cheese board! For breakfast, go down to Restaurante La Uria in the village for a Spanish omelet sandwich and coffee. The food in Tazones is amazing. I’ll definitely return if I’m in the area again. I could say something bad to keep the place free for myself, but honestly, the apartments are incredible. The room is big and comfortable, the bathroom is spacious with a large shower for two, and the living room and kitchen are roomy and useful. The people are really nice too. You can walk five minutes along a river and flower-lined path to bowls, and the beautiful villages nearby are easy to reach by car. I recommend it without hesitation. A ten doesn’t do it justice. We’ll be back soon.

Everything else was perfect: the place was quiet, well equipped, and a great base for exploring Asturias. My husband and I stayed eight nights. The one thing I’d change is the sofa. It looks nice, but it’s extremely uncomfortable. Still, I recommend the accommodation.
