Nirea Hotel

After a stressful start, we had a good stay. The hotel itself was very good, with lovely rooms and great showers, and the receptionist was helpful. Amarika restaurant was very good too. Finding the hotel by car was almost impossible. We drove past three times, then parked and searched on foot. The receptionist hadn't explained clearly how to get to the car park, and a lovely young woman at a nearby book shop showed me the way. Breakfast at the cafe next door was a huge disappointment. The staff were unfriendly and had a really mean attitude. The hotel should ditch them.

The reception team provided good service, and my partner said Marta was especially helpful. I noticed quite a bit of staff turnover between shifts. This is a fantastic addition to Vitoria's hotel scene, and I hope they keep up the standards. I had a comfortable stay in this fairly new, small, modern hotel in the pedestrianized heart of Vitoria. The lively neighborhood has the main services and facilities within easy walking distance. Room 403 impressed me with its quality fixtures, thoughtful layout, and good use of space. The balcony gave us pleasant views over the street and rooftops. The bed and pillows were spacious and comfortable. The sound insulation was excellent, and the carpets were lovely. It was quiet with the windows shut, though there is late night noise at street level. The large shower had just the right water pressure, and the bathroom provided organic shampoo and shower gel. Even the mirror stayed clear, so the airflow seemed well regulated. Indigo America is the recommended car park, about 210 m away on level ground. The website gives two different distances for public parking, 200 m and 100 m, so that should be corrected. A few little things could be better: a wall mounted bathroom bulb needed replacing, the TV remote didn't work and took a while to replace, and they changed the bathroom towels when it wasn't necessary. There were only a few decaffeinated capsules in the lobby, though the free coffee machine was welcome.

The room was super clean, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. Everything felt like good quality, from the sheets and pillows to the shower, and the location was great. These have to be among the best rooms I've stayed in in a city. They say there's no parking or breakfast, but there's an arrangement with a parking garage for €13 a night, plus a great cafe next door. Don't hesitate, book it!

The rooms are beautifully designed, clean, and modern. It's also conveniently located not far from the train station. I'd recommend it!
