After our walk, the staff had made sure the room was warm, and it was a cozy space to come back to. The room itself was lovely too. In the morning, a large bathtub and hot water were a real treat, since we realized those aren't common in Spain. A hot bath was pure bliss. Then I sat by the window wrapped in a towel, taking in the fresh winter air and the Atlantic Ocean view. A perfect start to the day, 100/10! We were celebrating a birthday, and even though it was late, the staff offered us a comfortable spot in the lounge and put on some background music. Such a lovely touch.

The hotel is a little out of town, which has its upsides, including a quiet beach nearby, paddle tennis courts, and easy car access. The check-in staff were fantastic, some of the best service I've experienced anywhere. Sonya and her friends made me and two colleagues feel at home. A great place for a business trip.

We had a great stay and I’d come back, though it was a shame that the advertised facilities were unavailable. When we visited in June 23, the indoor pool, fitness centre, and spa treatments were all closed “for maintenance,” with little sign they’d reopen soon. Our junior suite had a terrace and great views of the beach and Ria. The beach at playa de Area is well placed, and the hotel views are spectacular. There’s a restaurant on site, but we didn’t try it because it looked very overpriced and the online reviews weren’t great. Make up your own mind. Louzao is about a 300 metre walk away and I’d heartily recommend it.

What a shame the pool and spa were closed during high season to save costs, and we weren't warned beforehand. All we got was an embarrassed apology, with no other gesture. That was disappointing because the hotel is otherwise very good: comfortable rooms, great views, knowledgeable staff, and an excellent breakfast.
