I was hoping to like the place, but the breakfast options were really limited, and seeing the restaurant floor being mopped while people were eating was the final straw. The welcome from the woman at reception who checked us in was possibly the coldest and rudest I’ve ever had at a hotel. It set the mood for the whole stay. Awful.

Our terrace looked out over the town clock tower, and the room had a nice bed, a huge LCD, a bathtub, and lovely decor. It’s well placed for walking into Zafra’s historic old town. Breakfast included fresh fruit, hot drinks, fresh orange juice, and toast made the way you wanted. Great value.

There’s secure parking at the back for motorcycles, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a good range of food at very reasonable prices. A lovely little hotel, kept very clean.

The rooms were very good, and it’s only about a five-minute walk to the historic center. We chose it for breakfast, but expected more after reading the earlier reviews.
