Alda Zaragoza Independencia

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was spotless, and everyone on the team was friendly. Room 211 was cozy, nicely decorated and had very comfortable beds. The bathroom was decent, with good shower pressure. There was no view beyond the side of the neighboring building, so we needed the lights on, but that also meant no street or traffic noise. And with the hotel in such a good spot, we stepped straight out onto Plaza de España.

The hotel’s location near Zaragoza’s center was great, and we found the discount at the nearby underground Parking Indigo - Plaza España a useful extra. It brought parking down from €18 to €12 per day. Most spaces looked reserved, but we had no trouble parking during our three-day stay. We’d struggled to find other hotels in the area and price range with free parking, so the deal helped. The rooms were nothing special, and the bathroom was on the small side but manageable. Breakfast was about €8 per person in June 2025. It was decent, with bread, pastries, cheese and ham (jamon), fruit, yoghurt, cereal, coffee, tea and juice, but nothing to rave about. If you’re a couple, call ahead to ask for a double bed. We got two twins and were told there were no double rooms available, though the beds could be pushed together. It’s a good, basic hotel in a very central spot, but perhaps a little expensive even though we booked more than three months ahead. Maybe the Aragon MotoGP weekend pushed the price up.

The hotel is in a fantastic spot, an easy walk to the main sights and the el tubo area for evenings out. Our room was small, but clean, comfortable and just right for a couple of nights in the city. Big thanks to Carlos at reception, who went out of his way to help us enjoy our stay.

For a business trip, the plain room was perfectly adequate. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good, so I can recommend the hotel for work travel. There’s parking on site, which was very helpful, though getting to it was a bit tricky in the city center. Breakfast was okay.
