Hotel Río Arga

Friendly, helpful staff and a handy spot in the historic district, near sights and restaurants. The bedding wasn’t to my liking, and noise carried from other rooms. Apart from that, it was a good value place to stay in the old center.

The room was so dark with the shutters closed and so quiet that we’d have slept right through without an alarm. The beds were very comfortable, and everything was spotless. Reception were warm and helpful, too. Even though it’s peaceful, the hotel sits right in the historic center. The cafe on the corner, 1885, is stunning. We booked late and paid very little, which made it great value, but I’d recommend it even at full price. We’ll definitely come back to Zaragoza and stay here again.

The hotel is close to the main street but doesn’t face it, so it stayed very quiet. There was construction going on outside, though, and the walls are quite thin. The help desk and staff generally were great. Chema at the front desk was especially helpful and kind, five stars for him. I definitely recommend it!

We had a clean, spacious room with a balcony, and the welcome was lovely. Staff spoke English, and the buffet breakfast was lovely too. Dogs cost 10 euros per night. The hotel is right in the historic area, surrounded by sights, shops, bars and restaurants. Street noise at night might bother some people. I don’t mind it, and find it adds atmosphere. Underground parking is a real plus, but getting in from the street is narrow and turning space in the garage is tight for a bigger car. I managed with my Ford Edge, which is 5m x 2m, but go slowly, be careful and keep an eye on all your mirrors.
