The parking card was a real bonus, and aside from a neighborhood festival that kept me awake with loud music for two nights, the area was quiet. It's worth checking whether an event is on before you book. I found the apartment comfortable and nicely decorated, and check-in and checkout went smoothly. I could always reach someone. It was a bit dark, though, and noise carried from guests and the neighbors' water pipes. The stairs are steep, so it may not suit older people. Some drawers were cluttered, and the corners could have been cleaned better.

Aberri was a lovely host, and Marc was very attentive when he handed over the keys. He walked us through the apartment and suggested places to visit. We also appreciated getting a permit to park in a residents' area, since parking is difficult throughout the Basque Country. The ground-floor apartment was bright, tastefully decorated and had a spacious bathroom. There was even a hair diffuser, something I've never found in accommodation before, and I have curly hair. The beach, restaurants, bars and other things to do were all less than a five-minute walk away. The area was really quiet, even on a night when there were parties nearby, and we slept without hearing them. Highly recommended. One small suggestion: a folding clothesline would be useful for drying laundry after using the dryer.

The loft was spotless and had everything we needed for a great holiday. It was lovely and tastefully decorated, and the owner was friendly and helpful. I'd happily go back.
