LA Hotel and SPA

I felt unsafe and disrespected during my two nights at LA Hotel, so I can't recommend staying there. After I went out on the first day, I came back to find my room door open and receptionist Hana inside using my perfume. She told me, “I like your perfume,” then left. The next day the perfume was gone. I asked the staff, including Hana, but everyone said they knew nothing, and Hana denied taking it.

The breakfast wait staff were the one bright spot: professional, attentive, and pleasant. The rest of our stay at LA Hotel and Spa was a disaster, despite its good location and reasonable price. The rooms looked decent and the space seemed inviting at first, but check-in quickly showed how unprofessional the staff were. We were told the boiler was broken and there was no hot water. When we asked when it might be fixed, the receptionist seemed indifferent and didn't try to find out. We also asked to see a quieter room because of the street noise. The staff member showing us alternatives was impatient and dismissive, and took us to another room facing the noisy street. We were exhausted, so we stayed there. My husband gets cold easily and asked several times for another blanket. The receptionist said, “I thought you already had one on your bed.” When he clarified that he needed an extra one, she said hotel policy didn't allow extras for a one-night stay. After a lot of back and forth, she reluctantly sent one, but the mood was already ruined. The hotel had potential, but most of the staff showed so little care and competence that we couldn't enjoy our stay.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and gave us a warm family welcome. There are good amenities, and I'd happily come back after my March 2025 trip. I highly recommend it.

I spent 37 nights here. The internet was weak and unreliable enough that I had to switch to my 4G network, so I hope the hotel improves it. The place is clean and well furnished, with comfortable beds and fresh food at the complimentary breakfast. The two restaurant waiters were extremely polite, and the rest of the staff were courteous too. Since the hotel is right beside the road, light sleepers should ask for a room at the back, where it's much quieter. Overall, a good hotel.
