Sheraton Addis, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Addis Ababa

With its landscaped gardens, impressive architecture, and singing fountain, the Sheraton Addis, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Addis Ababa makes a striking impression. Fine dining and a comfortable, almost sanctuary-like atmosphere round out a memorable luxury stay in the capital.

I spent just under 10 days at the Sheraton Addis Ababa in Ethiopia and had a really lovely stay. The hotel is beautiful and has a calm, relaxing feel. The food was great at every dining outlet I tried, with Jade pan asian restaurant my favorite for its variety and delicious dishes. The staff made the experience especially personal. People regularly checked that things were going well and that we had what we needed. A big thank you to Abnet, Bethlehem, Elzabet and Shewit at the the Summerfield restaurant. They were some of the kindest, loveliest people I've met in a while. I can't remember everyone's names, but the front desk, concierge, restaurant and housekeeping teams, and even the staff working at the back of the house, were all very kind to us. Thank you all again for such a lovely experience. I'd definitely recommend Sheraton Addis to anyone visiting Ethiopia.

The grounds and layout give the Sheraton Addis more of a resort feel than a city hotel. There are landscaped gardens, wide paths and several outdoor pools, so it's easy to spend a whole day there without going elsewhere. The place feels calm and self-contained. The architecture is impressive, and the sense of privacy and security was clear from arrival. Inside, the style is classic and elegant, with high ceilings and roomy public spaces. My room was comfortable and well designed, with a lovely view of the gardens or pools. Service was polished and professional throughout. I felt safe, comfortable and surrounded by real luxury at this flagship Addis Ababa hotel.

We were very happy with our stay at the Sheraton Addis Hotel. The staff were wonderful, our suite was comfortable, and breakfast offered plenty of tasty choices. There's a jogging path through the green grounds, handy if you like running outdoors but want to stay on the hotel property. The pool isn't heated, though plenty of children and adults swam in the refreshing water. On the first, technically second, floor, there's a large business center with computers, printing and books to read, as well as several meeting rooms.
