Solo Te Hotel

This used to be our favorite hotel, and I left a positive review a few years ago. After five visits over the past two weeks, though, my family and I feel extremely disappointed and ripped off. The steam room walls were covered in mould and dirt, and didn't look inviting at all. The two toilets in that area were dirty, with water pooled between them, and neither lock worked. Service has clearly declined since my earlier review, and poor management seems to be a big part of it. This was our last visit. If you use the steam room or spa, check that everything is working beforehand, or consider another well-kept hotel in a similar price range. Sometimes, when we asked for steam, we were told there was a water leak and offered the sauna instead, which isn't what I prefer, with no compensation. We paid for a shower only to find the water cold. Staff in the steam room said management knew the shower was cold, especially in the women's room, but kept charging guests anyway. One female staff member even laughed when I mentioned the men's shower was cold. I don't know what she found funny. We were very angry. It felt like being charged knowingly for poor service.

The room is neat and nice, the staff are courteous, and all the food I've tried so far has been excellent. The WiFi needs a lot of work, though. They control the TV channels, so you can end up watching sports or whatever another guest wants on all day.

The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from the Airport. It's beautifully decorated with artistic touches, elegantly furnished, and feels secure. Solo TE Hotel has really got the hang of high-tech service that anticipates what customers need.

The WiFi is great and the rooms are awesome. Staff come right to your car door when you pull up, and do something similar when you're leaving.
