The location worked well for me, and they gave me a room very close to the ground floor. Breakfast with orange juice was complimentary. There is a small nightlife area nearby, so expect some noise. Almost every night I could hear a woman at a nearby bar laughing over and over, with a sound like a witch.

What stood out most was the service. Zemalex has the good looks and attentive customer care that many hotels seem to lack. It’s my first choice when I travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and only minutes from Bole international hotel. My room was spacious and clean, with what I needed for either business or a holiday. The soft bed and supportive pillows were especially welcome after a long flight. Breakfast had plenty of fresh options, all prepared with care. The hotel feels well managed and secure, and I was very satisfied with my stay. There are also lots of art pieces around the building, so take a look. For me, a stay at Zemalex is part of arriving in Addis Ababa. Thanks again for such a great visit! Dr. Z Mukunge

I’m glad I found this place on Google. It was even nicer in person, and I’d highly recommend it. The location is great, everything was very clean, and the price felt reasonable for this kind of quality. The staff were really helpful and nice, too. Chicken Tibs was the bomb.com! The snacks were delicious and very reasonably priced.
