The place is impressive and well maintained, and everything you see is beautiful, including the beds. Some supervisors and staff don't treat guests properly, though. Their attitude doesn't make you feel welcome, and sometimes they seem to ignore you when you call. There are also people who serve guests responsibly and professionally. The security guards at the gate were especially humble and kind during our visit. They even covered our car with a cloth to protect it from the sun, which was a thoughtful gesture that made us happy.

The food wasn't bad, and the compound had a nice nature vibe with trees and everything. The staff were the most welcoming, but my issue was the rooms. The price was ridiculous for a medium, ordinary room you can find anywhere. There was no electricity for most of the day, the shower pressure was weak, and the telephone didn't work.

As a tour guide, I used to love this place as a kid whenever I went to Hawassa, so it's really sad that I won't be back or recommend it to fellow guides. The service was very, very bad. When a group orders food, it should all arrive together. A tour guide can't start eating before the clients, so we end up waiting, or making them wait, and then eating cold food. I also got diarrhea a few minutes after eating their chicken. I was so hungry that I only noticed some pieces were raw.

The lakeside location is beautiful, but the staff's kindness and help really made our stay. They cleaned our clothes as soon as we arrived, helped arrange travel, and organized a guide 😀. Special thanks to the two managers, Derese Demesi & Simegn Gemechu. You both went the extra mile, and we're so glad we met you and all your amazing staff. Big thanks from Seb and Jo. The room was the highlight of my stay at Lewi Hotel and Resort in Hawassa. It was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with a nice mix of comfort and style. The accommodation exceeded what I expected and helped make the stay memorable. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Hawassa.
