We slept beneath the stars in a clean, cozy glass igloo that had everything we needed. A personal note and small gifts welcomed us and explained the heart behind the place. The idea at Aurora Pyramid Glass Igloos at Elves Village is to bring a bit of magic to Earth, and they really pulled it off. The food was great, from breakfast and soup at lunch to the special vegan dinners the team made for both nights. The vegan burger and mushroom croquettes were favorites. The restaurant felt warm and inviting, and the big sauna, ice plunge, and jacuzzi were especially lovely with snow outside. At the elves workshop we baked piparkakku in Christmassy shapes. Even the smell felt magical, and the staff stayed in character dressed as elves. Our “assigned elf” said she was 190 years old, then showed us Santa’s house and the gift-making room. It felt like much more than a place to sleep, and we’d happily return.

The room problems left us choosing between a flooded bathroom and no running water. In Igloo #10, water from the bathroom sink covered the floor after I washed my hands, and the sink couldn't be used. Staff quickly offered to move us to Igloo #11, but we would have had to carry all our luggage ourselves over icy ground in the dark, which felt unsafe and uncomfortable. At Igloo #11 there was no water at all, and staff said nobody was available to fix it. We reluctantly stayed in Igloo #10. Seeing the Northern Lights was the main reason for our visit, so it was disappointing to find the Aurora alert system wasn't working when we arrived. I understand unexpected problems happen, but having no basic running water was especially frustrating given the property's reputation and price. Afterward I contacted management with feedback and asked for a partial refund. They refused, saying the delay in water was caused by a sustainable system that needs 20 minutes to activate. Nobody mentioned such a system during our stay, and staff actually said there was a water problem and a plumber had been called. Even if the delay was normal for that system, nobody got in touch to explain it while we were there. Management blamed me for not knowing about the supposed wait instead of taking responsibility for the poor communication and its effect on our stay. My concerns felt dismissed, with little accountability or consideration for the guest experience. The stay was deeply disappointing, and the response afterward made it worse. With the high prices and poor customer service, I wouldn't recommend Aurora Pyramid Glass Igloos. In short, we had a flooded bathroom, a replacement igloo without water, and an unsafe luggage move to consider. Management refused a partial refund and blamed us for not knowing about a delay they hadn't explained.

The room is decorated just right, and from the front room you can watch deer moving through the forest in the morning. The cabin has a view of the sky, stars, and Northern Lights.

The area is lovely, and sleeping beneath a glass Pyramid is a special experience. The beds were very comfortable, but they’re separate, which wasn’t ideal for us as a couple. For what it costs, though, this didn’t feel like the advertised luxury. The food was really good, but breakfast only ran from 9 to 10, a short and late window when there are no blinds and sunrise can wake you. The glass hadn’t been cleared of snow, there was no sleeping mask as advertised, and outdoor lights stayed on all evening, reflecting off the pyramid and spoiling the sky and star view. The AC/heater was noisy all night and wouldn’t go below 21.5°C, which was too warm for me. Our toilet wasn’t working properly, so we had to fix it ourselves. There’s no reception on site, so we had to look for the very nice restaurant lady or call the reception in Levi, 10 km away. Without a car, the only option would be a €60 taxi ride. All in all, it wasn’t worth the money.

The glass roof cottage costs a lot, but bright lights around it mean you mostly see roadside lights shining on the trees through the roof, with no stars or aurora. See the pictures. I emailed them and got very poor customer service.
