Breakfast was great, especially with the view, and the cabin crew clears snow so quickly that snowfall was never something we had to worry about. The cabin has a sauna and fireplace, with local grocery stores and Muodoslompolo in Sweden not too far away, so you can visit two countries in one trip. It has everything you need for a good night's rest and would suit friends who want to cook together, stay in, play games, and have good conversations. WHO studies confirm that Muonio has the cleanest air in the entire world.

The duplex cabins have really poor sound insulation, so you can hear everything from the people next door. If that sort of thing bothers you, I'd strongly recommend paying a little extra for your own cabin. The location is beautiful, and our cabin was spacious and clean. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all worth the money, and I felt I got good value even though the cabin wasn't right next to a ski center.

The wood-heated sauna by the lake was the best part, with some of the best steam I've experienced in Finland. If you haven't plunged into the ice-cold lake, you haven't even lived! The rooms were good, the location was convenient, and the friendly owners made us feel very welcome.

The view is amazing, and the staff are friendly. Skiers can get lunch and coffee, though there are no special diet options. Booking arrangements sometimes change unexpectedly, but everything has worked out in the end each time. There are cozy old cottages at very affordable prices, as well as newer, bigger houses for families. Ice-hole swimming is also possible.
