We stopped in for coffee and cake, and the selection, taste and quality were all very good. We tried the rhubarb crumble, chocolate cream cake and apple mousse cake. Each was reasonably priced. The old furniture was comfortable, and the staff wore old-fashioned costumes, giving the place a feel from another era. There's also a small shop selling tourist goods.

The tea rooms are cozy, nicely decorated and clean, and the staff are lovely. It's a great spot in Raahe for coffee and cake. The house coffee was nice, with a choice of light or dark roast, and free refills. On our visit, five of the six cakes on display were gluten-free, as were both savoury pies. Everything was lactose-free. We tried the plum cinnamon cheesecake, Britta cake and rhubarb cheesecake. All were delicious and just the right size.

I was glad to find two slow EV charging spots here. The hotel itself is small and lovely, right in central Raahe, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was good too, with buns they make themselves.

The cakes are the thing to get here. I’ve never had food or cake from this place that I didn’t like, and everyone working there is incredibly nice. My favourite is the Kakkulounas (Cake Lunch), served Monday to Friday for 13,90€. You get lunch along with a cake, and the cakes are GOOD. The lunch choices change each day, so their Facebook page on Sundays shows what’s coming the following week. This is easily my favourite place in all of Finland!!

There’s homemade lunch every day from 11 to 13:30, and on Thursdays you can try lohikeito, the traditional captain's salmon soup. They also make special homemade cakes, pulla, munkki and more. The place is full of Finnish traditions and memories, with local handmade crafts, cosmetics and clothes. The ladies working here are lovely and always make you feel welcome. Tervetuloa!!
