We saw the lights on both nights, and the glass igloo was beautiful. The ice hotel was a novel, fun experience, though the whole room, beds included, is made of ice. It was cold, as you’d expect, but warm sleeping bags were provided and we were fine once inside them. We spent one night in each place with our two children, aged 6 and 8. They managed the ice hotel well, but it’s definitely not for everyone. The staff were also great after our visit. I lost my Apple Watch somewhere, though I still don’t know where, and only noticed once I was back. It may have fallen out of my luggage. The hotel team kept in touch and checked for it several times. I highly recommend this company for either the ice hotel or the glass igloo.

The aurora alarm went off three times, giving us the chance to see the Northern Lights above the igloo. Our one-night stay in the cute igloo was wonderful. It stayed warm despite the glass roof, and the bathroom was lovely.

We didn’t stay overnight, just took the tour, which cost about 45 euro as of Feb 2026. After a short presentation about how the snow hotel is built, we could walk through all the bedrooms, which was quite surprising. Guests don’t use those rooms during the day, and each one has its own snow or ice carvings and theme. There’s also a huge ice restaurant, an ice bar, and a cathedral. The tour turned out to be surprisingly interesting.

The ice rooms and their artwork were impressive, and we slept comfortably through the night, even though I usually run cold. The friendly, helpful staff added a lot to the stay, and we also visited the ice bar, tried the sauna, and went sledding. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. I wasn’t sure about adding this to our trip, but I’m so glad we did. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I’d absolutely recommend booking it. The main disappointment was our meal at the Kota restaurant. The soup was great, but the rest was underwhelming. The atmosphere was mediocre, and the reindeer dish was genuinely awful, flavorless mush with water all over the plate. I’d read bad reviews, but my partner still wanted to try it, and it was a mistake. We told the waiter honestly when asked, but they didn’t seem to care. Seriously, avoid that dish. The salmon was pretty good, just a little dry. The free shared sauna was clean and modern, and we had it to ourselves, but it wasn’t very hot. The door design needs work. Also, if you need a shower as a snow hotel guest, the showers are shared and fully open in the sauna area. Just something to know. Even with those downsides, the stay was amazing. I’d recommend booking, but skip Kota restaurant, or at least the reindeer.

The modern areas of the hotel were clean, with friendly staff and clean shared facilities. We had a very tasty meal at the Ice Restaurant and drinks at the cozy Sky Bar. The ice rooms themselves were impressive, a real once-in-a-lifetime experience. It was also amazing to go to sleep knowing the staff would wake us for the Northern Lights.
