HAAWE 1933 - Boutique Apart Hotel

We stayed four nights over Christmas in room Ruska as a family of four. The decor and shower felt very high-end, and check-in was easy. Breakfast had a good variety and was replenished each day. It's centrally located, with restaurants and the city center an easy walk away. We enjoyed our stay and would return to Lapland. Just be aware that once four people's bags are open, there's very little room to move around. It seems better suited to a couple.

I stayed in the ice room because of the bathtub, and was very happy with the room's design and central location. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with all the ingredients and tools needed, including a toaster and egg boiler. There was so much provided that I had to leave a lot behind. Online responses were quick, and check-in and check-out could be done automatically without meeting anyone, which suited me. The view wasn't much, so I preferred keeping the window closed, though I suspect that's the same at other hotels in the area.

The room came stocked with food, coffee, tea, and even fresh vegetables, and we had a great stay. For our first trip to Rovaniemi, choosing Haawe felt like winning the lottery. It's very clean and perfectly placed, and the luggage storage turned out to be important for us. The hotel runs on self-service with no front desk, but everything was so well organized and clearly communicated that we didn't need one. If we come back, this will be our first choice.

The breakfast setup worked especially well for us since we had to leave early. We also really enjoyed our short stay. The room's theme, quality finishes, and homeware, including Marimekko, gave it a special feel.
