Paula was a fantastic host, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. She sent us lots of useful information before our departure flight, which made planning easy, and gave us great tips during the stay. Thanks to her, we saw the northern lights right outside our cabin. The location is excellent, within a 10-minute drive of the airport, Rovaniemi, and Santa claus village, but secluded enough to get a glimpse of the lights. The cabins have everything needed for a cozy base camp and stay warm without the fireplace, though we still lit one every night to roast marshmallows. The sauna is excellent, and the lakeside setting is brilliant.

We stayed four nights in our campervan and could easily have given this campsite more than five stars. The riverside pitch we chose had a lovely view, and there’s a little beach for swimming. Everything was kept in great shape, from the neatly cut grass to the clean, tidy showers and toilets. The kitchen is basic but works fine. Reception staff were kind and helpful, and we enjoyed booking a sauna slot on site. It’s also handy for Rovaniemi and lots of hiking spots. We’d definitely recommend it.

We were there for our friends’ wedding and had a wonderful time. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and seemed to speak several languages, including Finnish, English and Ukrainian, perhaps more. The campsite was very clean and had the amenities you need. The shower water could get as hot as you wanted.

The staff were super welcoming and showed us around all the facilities. We parked right beside the river, and at the end of June 2024 we only had a few mosquitoes in the camper. This was the loveliest campsite of the ones we stayed at during our three-week trip through Lapland.
