Seeing the northern lights from the igloo and lake, reindeer wandering past the cabin, and gluwein by the fire are memories we’ll always keep. The extra features made it easy to spend all our time at the lodge: an igloo, cooking tent, hot tub, sauna and sledging hill. We met Arttu and some of the family, which gave the place a personal feel unlike a hotel. We stayed three nights for my Mum’s 60th birthday, on our first visit to Finland, and hope to return. Ollero Lodge is charming, beautifully built and felt like a home away from home. We loved hearing that the owners’ Father built it over 40 years ago. It also has modern touches, was very clean and had all the necessities. Even at -22 degrees with a six-month-old baby, the main lodge, sleeping cabin and igloo were so well heated that we turned the temperature down. Ollero is just a 15-minute drive from the airport and town, with a large supermarket less than five minutes away, yet it feels much further out in the countryside, with no town noise. I couldn’t recommend it more. Thank you for having us!

I stayed in this beautiful, cozy cottage in Rovaniemi last December, and it felt peaceful and warm. Sleeping outside in the glass igloo beneath the Northern Lights was magical. The hot jacuzzi in the snow was one of my best experiences ever, and the traditional glass sauna had a view of the snow.

We saw the northern lights on both nights we stayed, so if that’s what you’re hoping for, this place is definitely worth considering. The igloo was cozy with a lovely view, and there was plenty to do nearby, including a really fun tobogganing slide. Anni, one of the hosts, was friendly and polite, showed us around, and shared a bit about Finnish culture. She even went out of her way to take us to the shop for groceries. Such a lovely place with lovely people, and a fun stay that felt well worth it. Thank you!

The lodge and igloo were both comfortable, and the setting was beautiful. We rented them for my mom and me in late September. We had overcast skies all three days, so we were unlucky with the weather, but we still loved the experience. The birch, maybe, gave the lodge a wonderful smell. We also enjoyed having the Lappi teepee for a fire and grilling sausages. I’d recommend it 100%.

We had an amazing stay in Ollero earlier this month. The accommodation felt authentic, and our group really enjoyed spending time there. The hosts were helpful and available whenever we had questions. I’d happily stay again.
