Saariselkä Inn Log Cabins

We visited in October 2023, and it was the holiday of a lifetime. The cabins are beautifully decorated and exceptionally well built, with every amenity you could imagine. We loved the cozy warmth from the log burner, the excellent sauna, and the really comfortable beds. It’s a magical place, and I can’t wait to return. I couldn’t recommend it more.

We were lucky enough to spot the Northern Lights just outside our cabin, and the dark setting made them easy to watch. The cabins also made a lovely backdrop for photos, which made the stay even better. Inside, ours was warm, snug, and very comfortable, with clean rooms, working amenities, and blankets that kept us warm overnight. There’s a sauna to relax in, too. The location is central and handy for restaurants, markets, and ski resorts. We absolutely loved staying here.

I spent around a week and a bit in Finland and Saariselka, and it was one of the best holidays I’ve ever had. The cabin had everything, including a sauna, a lustrous shower, and amazing beds. I didn’t get to see the northern lights, though I know they’re a main attraction here. Skiing at the resort was so great, and there was plenty of food and fun. I’d really recommend this for anyone looking to take a break and have an amazing holiday.

I stayed here with my dog for a Lappish holiday and found it convenient and nice. There was plenty of space, the beds were comfy, and the location was close enough to the centre while still feeling quiet and rustic. The only letdown was the cleaning: there was some hair in the shower drain, old food rings around the cooking rings, and dishes that weren’t clean.
