We loved the huge window, and the place matched its photos. The ski resort is closer than we expected, but its lights didn’t bother us. Light from the fixture outside the building did shine into our room at night, though, so blinds on the front door would help. I saw that another building seemed to have them, so I’m not sure why ours didn’t. The iPad wouldn’t work. The owner replied quickly when I asked about it, but it never got fixed. It wasn’t a major issue since we had our phones.
We spotted the aurora twice in our three nights there. With the lights off, you can look out across the lake from the room and check for it before heading outside. In winter the room was comfortable, though we felt some cold coming from the windows. The air conditioning and underfloor heating helped. It’s a beautiful place, and the modern finishes are simple. The rooms are minimalist and work well for a romantic couple’s getaway. The apartment is small and basic, so it’s not ideal for a big family or for anyone planning lots of cooking or activities indoors. The iPad information sheet and Bluetooth speaker were a nice extra. The price felt high for what you get.
Quiet, comfortable, and romantic. I gave it four stars because the shower wasn’t hot enough. Thanks.
The most amazing place we booked in Finland 🥰
Check-in and check-out were easy, and they replied quickly to messages. The cottage has a mirror window, so you can’t see inside, plus basic cooking gear. It’s compact, with a great view. The directions could be clearer.
