Vuotson Maja B&B

I've been riding north on my motorcycle for many summers, and this guesthouse is the best B&B I've found in northern Finland so far. This July, in the middle of a short 35C heat wave, we needed somewhere to stop for the night. The stone-built guesthouse was a welcome escape from the heat and the swarms of horseflies and mosquitoes. The couple who own it are friendly, with an old-school Finnish sense of humor that might take some people or cultures a while to get. They're also a great source of history and knowledge. Everything is well thought out, and the place is so well organized that things run smoothly without confusion. It deserves six stars if possible, and it'll be a regular stop for us again.

The shower and bathroom were clean, and the Wi-Fi was fast with full coverage where we parked the motorhome. We paid €37.5, plus €5 for each extra person. I’d read comments saying the owners were unfriendly or strict, but during our stay they went above and beyond.

The owner was really friendly and gave us helpful tips on places to eat and where to watch the aurora. We stayed for two nights, and the family-run place was very clean, including the rooms and restrooms. Breakfast was great, and parking was free. I’d strongly recommend staying here.

The hosts were kind, and breakfast was delicious. Everything was spotless and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed.
