Camping Hossan Lumo

We stumbled on this campground while passing through, and it’s our favorite in Finland. Right by the lake, it’s peaceful and relaxing. The price includes use of the modern, comfortable sauna during the shared hours, and the facilities are excellent with hot showers. Staff are warm and welcoming, and the convenience store at reception came in handy. Thanks so much, guys. We hope to visit in winter sometime!

We’re French-German cyclists crossing Finland in autumn on our way to North Cape, and had a lovely stay at this campground. The surroundings were clean and peaceful, and we were welcomed warmly. The facilities are great, and the sauna overlooks the lake, where you can swim after cooling down comfortably. There’s a small shop at reception that can help if you need something, even food; other services are listed on the website. It’s well located near a national park and not far from Kuusamo. We’d happily recommend it and come back.

A peaceful, really nice campground, with friendly and helpful Finnish and Irish owners. The Wi-Fi is good, and it’s nice to rent a rowing boat for the lake, 5 euros for three hours. The shared sauna is open from 5 to 7 pm, and you can also book it privately for a fee. The kitchen, showers and toilets are nice, and the washing machine works great.

Great value, an amazing sauna and super friendly owners. A lovely place if you’re riding the TET or just enjoy nature and peace outdoors. We really enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it.
