A woman named Susanne runs the hostel and is always around, which made the guests uncomfortable. Her idea of makeup seems to be drawing on eyebrows with a marker. There’s also a noisy youth center beneath the hostel where choir practice takes place, so it’s loud all the time. Hope you have a better experience, good luck!

Tapulitalo feels more like a home than a hostel, though Susanna runs a place that deserves to be called a hotel. It’s deeply comfortable in a properly Finnish way. A real gem, highly recommended.

Susanna was so warm, kind, and lovely. When I couldn’t find my way, she even drove me to the church. The guest house is very neat, with thoughtful little details everywhere that make the stay special. It’s the best guest house I’ve stayed in, and I hope to come back when I get the chance. Thank you, Susanna, for such a welcoming place.

Everything here felt carefully thought through, and my stay was perfect. I loved it and have already told my friends about the place.
