The airport ride for $15 NZD was a nice touch. We managed to communicate fine with a translation app, even though the hosts didn’t speak much English. The place itself felt like a cheap hostel in the bottom floor of a house, not homey at all. It was okay, I guess. Cash only.

The room was clean and WiFi worked fine. Water pressure in the shower was a little low, though. There’s drinking water in the fridge, and you can have it whenever you like. The main road is close, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby.

The bed had stains, and the room and bathroom weren’t very pleasant. We didn’t try the breakfast they offered. The place looked nothing like the photos, though it really is very cheap and close to the airport. They sent directions a few days ahead, and we’d already told them when we’d arrive, but nobody was there when we got in. Luckily, our taxi driver managed to contact them, and someone came to open the door.

The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating, and the room was extremely clean. It’s only a few minutes from the airport and Port Denerau.
