Resort Relax Fiji

I booked ten days but tried to leave after two, and they refused to refund any of my money. I was fairly sure I was the only guest while I was there. Trash was piled outside the rooms for birds to pick through. The place is in the middle of nowhere, down a dirt road. The WiFi was useless, and I couldn't get anything connected. There was no warm shower water, just ice cold or scalding hot. Breakfast was awful too, some cold leafy mixture and a tortilla, served on both days I stayed.

It was a relaxing place, just as the name suggests, and at this time of year you can watch the sun set over the lake around 5:30. Most of the staff were friendly. The service and food weren't up to par, though, and I'm not sure if that was because of the season. We ended up having most of our meals downtown.

My holiday was spoiled by this resort, the worst experience of my life. The room was so dirty, especially the toilet, which had yellow stains on the seat and feces splashed around. My mother was stung by seven or eight hornets at the hotel. She needed to rest for a while, so she couldn't complain right then. When we raised it two hours later, the receptionist just said, "You should have complained at the same time." There was no apology or anything from her. I would have given a zero if that were possible. Please don't stay here if you want a wonderful holiday.

Dinner was below standard, and the customer service was very poor. On our first day, we asked when breakfast started and were told 7am. But when we showed up at 7, they said it was always served from 8. It makes no sense to me to have breakfast at 8 when you have a conference to attend elsewhere at 8. What surprised me even more was that a group was already eating breakfast from 6:30am. I wonder what rating the Health Department has given them. Below standard.
