Sofitel Fiji Resort And Spa

The resort made it easy to relax without going out much. It’s a huge property with lots to do, the pool was wonderful for adults and kids, and the children looked forward to the daily activities. Our beach-view room was great, and the staff kept the whole place clean and well cared for. Breakfast had lots of choices, including adjustments for dietary needs at times. We came to Fiji for a wedding and had such a lovely stay. The people were the best part, warm and welcoming from the start, and the Fijian hospitality felt special. There was always a nice atmosphere around the resort. A memorable family holiday, and we’d love to return with the family. Highly recommended :)

The people are what made this holiday. Everyone greeted us with a big smile and “Bula”, and the team at Waitui beach club were especially attentive. We also loved the seafood at Waitui grill, some of the best cooked seafood you’ll find. Hats off to the chef. A big thank you to Ana, Payal, Issac, & Razia and the rest of the team in the journal lounge, to Romeo & Mary at the Waitui Grill, and to Merewalesi at the pillow shop. Our holiday wouldn’t have been the same without them. The Sofitel was excellent, with everything exceeding our expectations. Can’t recommend it enough, and we can’t wait to come back.

We ate most of our meals at the resort restaurant, and it was honestly better than a lot of places outside. The food was delicious, portions were good, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The staff were lovely too, and the overall atmosphere made up for the one downside: our room smelled a little mouldy when we first walked in.

Travelling with our coeliac daughter, we had real peace of mind at Sofitel Fiji. At breakfast and dinner, the chefs helped her safely choose from the buffet, explained the options, and made fresh gluten free food when needed. At 15, she could also join us for afternoon canapés. The staff remembered her dietary needs without being asked and had safe food ready, often with a Shirley Temple waiting too. They made her feel included and cared for, which meant a lot to us. That thoughtfulness came through everywhere. The team remembered us, anticipated what we needed, and made a real effort to connect. Everyone was welcoming and quick to help, and the chefs and restaurant staff were particularly professional and attentive. It felt like heartfelt hospitality.
