Natadola Beach Resort

The beach in front is gorgeous, and the food was delicious and simple. The people running this small resort were great. I stayed here with my partner for a few days in 2011, and would definitely choose the villa if one is available. The only nuisance was the tasteless Intercontinental resort next door. Building something like that in such a paradise should be a crime against humanity, though after the first look you don't notice it too much.

We stayed four nights last week and loved the place. Azin, who manages it, is a lovely bloke and will help however he can. The villa is spacious and works well if you want to cater for yourself. From there, it's a 30-second walk to Natadola beach, the best beach on Viti Levu, and it's absolutely stunning. A magic spot run by the nicest people. Highly recommend it if you'd like more space than a small hotel room.

Natadola is one of Fiji's loveliest beaches, and being on Viti Levu makes it easy to reach. You can get there from Nadi by bus, taxi, or both. Bring your own food and drinks to enjoy on the public beach, or ask at the beachfront hotel, which seems happy to serve passing visitors. Locals also offer horse and boat rides at very reasonable prices.

Natadola and the nearby Intercontenential share a perfect beach, reached by a small local road. The locals are friendly, though they do want you to buy a massage or horse ride. When someone asked me to buy something during my visit, I said I'd done it the previous year, and that stopped the requests. I had lunch at the nearby beachfront restaurant at Intercont and enjoyed it. The prices were reasonable by Western standards.
